Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, you guys are amazing. So compassionate, understanding, calming and helpful. They all went above and beyond and made what began as a stressful and what I saw as a traumatic event, into a simple procedure and quick plan to recovery. What a relief. There is no doubt I made the best choice going to Mountain Gate vet clinic. They even helped make things affordable. Onward and upward..... I am really really glad we found these guys, I believe they saved my pup and that they really went above and beyond. On that day, we were needing to get emergency surgery for her and they took it upon themselves to help us even after closing the weekend before NYE, they could have just sent us away to an emergency vet but they chose to help us to minimise cost and ensure she gets treated right away I believe this is 100% care and love for the pets and you can tell that the vets are kind, considerate and also very experienced. I cannot be more thankful to them. People in the reviews say the prices are high, I feel that all vets are expensive but if they can provide the peace of mind and potentially save your pet, it’s definitely worth it. Thank you again to Dr Ben, Dr Janet and all the other kind nursing and front reception staff for caring for our pets and us when we really needed it. My pup is recovering beautifully now.

Had always loved this clinic when owned by Jamie and his wife. Yet my last experience was awful. I felt very uncomfortable, and was given no clear indication of what was happening for my boy. I left feeling pretty upset and unclear. I sought a second opinion and a thorough explanation of what was happening, as well as all the possible outcomes/quality of life were very clearly and compassionately given. I felt clear in the decision I made and more than anything, I felt supported. Something that was very much lacking in my visit at Mountain Gate. I have found a new surgery to attend. I won’t return to Mountain Gate.

I previously loved this clinic for a number of years, taking 2 rescue dogs with complex needs again and again, and recommending this clinic to friends and on local community posts countless times. Vet Trung in particular was wonderful! Back in the day, he used to go as far as following up with patients after visits. Everything about the clinic was truly caring. The clinic since changed owners a few months ago and has absolutely gone downhill to the point I will never go back. The quality of care has declined, prices have sky-rocketed over more than one price increase, making regular things unaffordable. Today I was told "well, you can go elsewhere but it will be just as expensive". I called around to a few other clinics and found they are indeed much cheaper for the same thing. Additionally, I was left waiting ONE HOUR for an injection that didn't even need a consult and that I have usually come in time and time again and quickly gotten. Meanwhile my dog is increasingly becoming anxious and frustrated while I too am wondering why I'm paying enormously inflated prices for half the quality of care that we used to get. I was even told to put my dog back on steroids because they are cheaper, but that is exactly what her file shows caused major health issues for her in the past and lead her to being rehomed to me - why would I be advised this?! I would have walked out today before my appointment but I stayed to make sure my dog had what she needed. I will never go back after today. I understand they are losing Dr Trung also. I do not have any faith in this clinic to reliably look after our dogs, and my heart goes out to the few good staff there that are copping pressure from more and more disgruntled former clients.
